Revelation 21: The New Jerusalem

Our heavenly home is God’s tabernacle. It is a real place.

Our special home is in the holy of holies in this tabernacle. The holy of holies was always a perfect cube. Saints before us will live in the same city outside the holy of holies.
Heb 11 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
2 Cor 5:2 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
Rev 21:3 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:7-9. (The bridal chamber, the holy of holies inside the holy city)

And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

Revelation 21 is one of the most misunderstood and debated chapters in the Bible. Understanding it can get confusing, so this post is a brief summary, more details are included in “the Lamb’s wife, a Gentile Bride” in later chapters of this same book. I pray this helps your understanding.

Study the scriptures, especially the Tabernacle and the Holy of Holies, and confirm it to yourself.

Understanding Revelation 21 took me a while, but one simply needs to study the tabernacle in the Old Testament to understand it.

Throughout the Bible, In every Tabernacle, the relative size of the Holy of Holies changed, but it was always a perfect cube. In Rev 21:9 it’s the Bridal chamber, home of the “Lamb’s wife”, “The HOLY Jerusalem”, (Rev 21:16), described as a perfect cube. “The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal”. If you are a believer reading this post, THIS is your future. THIS is your eternal home! . This is what Jesus has built for us! How exciting!

This city, described as “The Holy Jerusalem” (rev 21:10), is also part (the heart) of the Tabernacle, described as the “New Jerusalem” in Rev 21-2. “the Tabernacle of God is with men” in Rev 21:1-5.

The “New Jerusalem” is a huge Tabernacle, with the “Holy” Jerusalem inside it. “Holy Jerusalem” is A city WITHIN a city.

One reason folks misunderstand Rev 21 is they don’t study with a KING JAMES version Bible. “New Jerusalem”, and “HOLY Jerusalem” are TWO separate structures, with one being part of the other.

The “Holy Jerusalem” in Revelation 21 is the Holy of Holies of the Tabernacle. The KJV makes it clear, while other Bible versions treat the New Jerusalem  and Holy Jerusalem as one entity. Thst ONE WORD, “HOLY” makes the distinction between the Holy of Holies and the rest of the Tabernacle.

The Holy of Holies is, and has always been a perfect cube. In Rev 21, this one is 1500 miles wide, 1500 miles long, and 1500 miles high, so imagine the size of the Tabernacle that it will come to rest in. But God himself, not man, built this one, and it is the last one. Rev 21:3-9.
The “Lamb’s wife” are the Grace dispensation Saints, US!,  the Bride of Christ, written in the “Lamb’s book of life” ONLY THEY will be allowed to enter into the Holy of Holies inside the Tabernacle. We will have an intimacy with Jesus like no other that has lived before the cross, or after the Rapture of the church.

It is also important to remember that there will be people alive at the end of the mellinial reign, who never died, and just like raptured living Saints from a thousand years prior, will never see death.
