What the future holds

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
Most believers today have no really good idea what is to take place in the future, or the timeline of events to come, or how to put it all together. This is a general description. There are many details you will find in your studies, but this will give you a good idea of what is to come. My hope here is to help you get a clear picture, so as to help in your Bible study and your walk with the Lord.

The Bible tells us the future: No need to be afraid.

The only thing we need to worry about is what is to happen NEXT. That being the resurrection of the NT saints and the Rapture of the Bride. BE READY!
Rapture-Barley harvest of the dead NT saints. Resurrection of the dead in Christ since after Jesus resurrection.

1 Thess 4:1616 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: This could happen anytime, hopefully in our lifetimes. BE READY!

Immediately after this is the Rapture, First fruits of the wheat, the living saints alive at the rapture.
1 Thess 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

We are taken back to the father’s house for the marriage supper of the Lamb. We are at a party in heaven while earth is going through a horrible time like none before it.

Jesus tells us in John 14:2: In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

The tribulation begins after the rapture. We must be “taken out of the way” for the Tribulation to begin and the beast to rise. The GREAT tribulation, “Jacob’s trouble” begins 3.5 years after this.

2 Thess 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

In the blink of an eye Islam is now the dominant religion. There is not one single believer left on earth. Economic collapse of the world takes place, then war, then famines.

A confederation of China, Russia, Britain, the UN, and Islamic nations now rules the world. Most of America, as well as many Christian nations are empty, or indeed gone at this point. Worldwide jihad is declared by the beast that was wounded unto death but healed-the muslim caliphate.

Two prophets come to Israel and begin preaching on the streets of Jerusalem. They are protected by a peace treaty with Israel. The New World Order has risen and is persecuting Christians all over the world as they come to Jesus except in Israel.

Zech 4:11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? Rev 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. 4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies:

After 3.5 years of preaching and soul winning, the anti Christ breaks the peace treaty and kills the two prophets, who rise from the dead 3.5 days later and rise to the Lord. It is my belief that those martyrs killed up to this point rise also. This is the olive harvest. These make the wedding in heaven as guests, children of the bride chamber.
At this time also, the anti Christ overruns Israel with his armies. A remnant of Israel flees to the wilderness across Jordan in Petra. They wait there for their redeemer for the remaining 3.5 years. This begins Jacob’s trouble, the GREAT Tribulation.
Matt 24:7 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take anything out of his house:
Matt 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Rev 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
Jer 50:20 In those days and at that time, declares the LORD, a search will transpire for Israel’s guilt, but there will be none, and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found; for I will forgive the remnant I spare.”

Even so, the gospel spreads across the world like wildfire, billions are saved and killed for their faith in Jesus. Rev 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.

Moe saints are killed as the tribulation grinds on. Near the end, another harvest takes place in Rev 14:16. These dead saints are raised from the dead near the end of the tribulation. They make the wedding in heaven also.
14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

During all this happening on earth, in heaven, the wedding feast culminates, and the consummation is complete. The groom takes a break, and tells us to “go into our chambers as it were, until the indignation is past”. IS 26:20.

Now, a war takes place in heaven as satan makes a final assault on the throne of God.
Rev 12:7-177 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

Satan is defeated and cast down to earth. But the Lord is not done. He then comes to earth alone, treading the wine press alone at Armageddon, defeating and destroying the anti christ army and the new world order nations.
Isaiah 63:3I have trodden the wine press alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. Revelation 14:20 And the wine press was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the wine press, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Earth is now safe for his saints. He finds and rescues his remnant of Israel at Petra, and leads them personally across the river Jordan back to the Land given them. Never to be removed again. Israel already has a treaty to use Petra as a place of refuge in a national emergency. Petra is a city of stone inside a mountain. It lies across the Jordan river between Israel and Jordan.
IS 63:1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
Zech 12:10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. IS 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Jesus then returns to heaven, and opens the door, releasing his saints from the wedding to return with him to judge the world, and set up his kingdom. Notice the blood from the battle is already on his vesture.
Rev 19 And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God:
2 For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine press of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

At his return with his saints, Jesus gathers his elect, the surviving Tribulation saints to Jerusalem. He also resurrects the remnant of the martyrs killed since the last reaping and his return. Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Mark 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Then Jesus binds the devil and his angels:

Rev 20 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

He also summons all the unbelievers that survived the tribulation to the valley of decision, and sets the goats on one hand, and the sheep on the others.

Joel 3:14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.IS 66:18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.
Matthew 25: 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
42 For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

. The saints are commended and given the kingdom Matt 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
And to the goats on his left hand he will say: 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matt 25: 41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
These will be resurrected after Jesus 1000 year reign, judged, and cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Rev 20:14.

The kingdom saints repopulate the earth in the kingdom in MORTAL bodies. We rule and reign with Jesus in glorified bodies over the nations, with David and the 12 apostles ruling over Israel. Our thrones are in heaven, our ministry is here. King Jesus rules from heaven.

The glorified saints that return with Jesus-US, are kings and priests unto God in the mellinial reign. Paul tells us in 1 Cor 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

John tells us in Rev 1:6 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Rev 5:9-109 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
Rev 20:4-6 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

David and the twelve apostles: Matt 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
David over Israel: Ez 37:24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

At the end of the 1000 year reign, satan is released for a short season, and makes one last assault on the people of God. He is defeated. All the unbelievers in hell, from creation up to this point are called up, and judged and cast into the lake of fire. Rev 20;7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no pplace for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

After this, the New Jerusalem, the tabernacle of God-heaven, New Jerusalem, with Holy Jerusalem, the Lamb’s wife inside of it, comes to earth. Rev 21 and we live into eternity with Jesus in heaven on earth, in a perfect, beautiful, holy world.
I hope the Lord lets me and Earnest go fishing. God Bless you!
