The End Times order of events

Copyright James Dixon 2022

This chapter provides an overview, “the short version” of the last days and the end times. It puts all the pieces together in a short, easy to read format. I will not drown you with proof texts.

I have provided scriptural references. It is MY view, take it with a grain of salt. It is a blueprint. The big picture in an easy to understand explanation. “How it’s gonna go down” if you will. I pray it is a blessing to you. Please study and confirm to yourself.

First fruits barley harvest. Mt 27:52-53 These are OT saints before the cross: “and the graves were opened, and many of the saints that slept came out of their graves, and went unto the Holy City (New Jerusalem) at his resurrection. IS 26:19. They are seen in heaven in Revelation 4-5.

2000 years later: the main barley harvest. “the dead in Christ shall rise first” 1 Thess 4:13 . These are saints that died after the cross up to this point.

Then, the LIVING saints rise to meet the Lord in the air immediately after this. “we which are alive and remain shall be caught up, to meet the Lord in the air”, and we return to the father’s house for the marriage supper of the Lamb, and the Bema seat judgement. Rev 11:18, 1 Thess 4:17, 1 Cor 4:14, 1 Cor 15:52, 1 John 3:2, John 14:1-5, rev 3:10 “I will spare thee from the hour of trial”, Mal 3:16-18.

Most of the population of the western world-70-90% Christian, vanishes.

In China and the middle east, only 3% Christian , they barely notice a thing happened. Chaos soon follows. The balance of power in the world changes in the blink of an eye. America is a shell of her former self.

At some point afterwards, the Two lampstands, also called the “two olive trees, arrive in Israel, likely on a chariot of fire. Israel has a peace treaty with the New World Government. That treaty will be broken 3.5 years later. Zech 4, Rev 11:1-6.

The Two Prophets preach on the streets of Jerusalem for 1260 days. It is a revival like the world has never seen. They are killed at the midpoint of the Tribulation, the beginning of the “great tribulation” the last half, and rise from the dead after 3.5 days, and ascend to heaven. Most likely, the martyrs killed up to this point rise with them. Rev 11:1-13. They Join the assembly in heaven at the marriage supper of the Lamb. Rev 7:1-7,

After this, Israel is betrayed, attacked and overrun. “trod underfoot of the Gentiles for 42 months”. A remnant flees to the wilderness , most likely Petra, across the Jordan river, for 1260 days. Rev 11:2, 11:1-13, Luke 21:27.

At about the same time, the entire world is forced to take the mark of the beast, or die. millions will be martyred. Rev 13:7-17, 11:7.

The wrath of God is poured out on an unbelieving world and the seat of the beast. Rev 16:10.

The next harvest, the wheat, occurs. Rev 14:16. These are tribulation martyrs up to this point. They join the assembly at the marriage supper of the Lamb in Rev 7:9. Next are the grapes, Rev 14:19.

The saints recieve their crowns in heaven. And the deed to the earth, as wedding gift! Rev 11:18.

Jesus is soon to return.

We go into our chambers as it were, until the indignation has passed. IS 26:20.

Jesus steals away for a moment to make the earth safe for his soon to return saints. He is headed to Armegeddon. IS 26:20.

Jesus returns ALONE initially, in power and great glory. This is the day of the Lord. He treads the winepress alone, the blood staining his garments. Mark 13:26, IS 63:1-3 “and of the people there was none with me”. Mk 14:62, IS 13:6. Zach 16:6, IS 31:5, IS 30:30, IS 65:12, IS 27:1, IS 34:5-10.

Jesus defeats the antichrist army at Armegeddon. Satan is bound for a thousand years and cast into a pit. Rev 20:1. He then appears to the Jewish remnant in Petra, rescuing them and leading them back across Jordan, in much the same way Moses led Israel, never to be removed again. “who is this that cometh from Edom? in dyed garments from Bozrah?” IS 63:1-3.

Then, a door is opened in heaven, the saints, US, return with the Lord. Mal 3:16-18, Rev 19:1-9. The saints are coming to judge the world. Mal 3:16-18 “Then ye shall return, and judge between him that doeth righteousness, and him that doeth it not”.

At this time, the last company of martyrs killed since the wheat harvest in Rev 14:16 are raised as priests unto God in the kingdom. Rev 20:4-6.

We will be kings and priests in the Kingdom reign. Rev 1:6, Rev 5:10, 1 Cor 6:2, Mal 3:16-18.

The angels then gather every single living human being on the face of the earth, to the valley of decision. Joel 3:14. This includes “the elect”, and the wicked as well. Mt 13:39, “all that offend”, MK 13:27 “my elect”. The tares and the wheat. They are judged BY US in Mt 25:31-41. Mal 3:16-18, 1 Cor 6:2.

The saints are given the kingdom in MORTAL bodies. The wicked are executed by fire and cast into hell. Luke 19:27 “slay them before me”. Mt 25:41.

A SECOND marriage feast begins” Mt 8:11 And I say to you, That many shall come from the east and westand shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

The kingdom reign begins: We rule the Gentiles, while the 12 Apostles rule over Israel and the 12 tribes of Israel. Ez 37:23-28, Ez 36:27, Ps 71:72, Mt 19:28, Luke 19:7, Rev 3:21,Mt 5:5, Rev 2:26, 2 Tim 2:12.

David’s tabernacle is rebuilt. Amos 9:11, Acts 15:16:17

WE will have a heavenly home in the New Jerusalem, and an EARTHLY throne, ruling the nations for 1000 years. Rev 5:9-10, Rev 1:6, Rev 21. After this, who knows? We have so much to look forward to, so be ready!.

Blessings!

Tips for Bible study and apologetics

Copyright James Dixon 2022

1. Unless the context says otherwise, interpret it LITERALLY.

2. You cannot refute one scripture with another lest you invalidate your own claim. Ergo: if THEIR verse is wrong, what about YOURS?

3. Look for harmony and agreement in scripture, not contradictions.

4. If the Bible says it in one place, it will be repeated and confirmed in at least one other place.

5. Yes, Paul wrote Hebrews by the hand of Timothy, but who cares? It is not worth being right about.  Thats what is called a Biblical hill of beans.

6. You don’t have to be Greek, or Hebrew to understand the Bible. God has no communication problems with his word.

7. Concerning doctrine and interpretation:  Is it worth being right about? Most things are not.

8. In witnessing, apologetics and debate, you will NEVER win over your oponent-ever. You will not change their mind, only they can do that.

Not once in my 12 years of debate and apologetics has the other said “you know what?, you’re right”  It ain’t gonna happen, don’t expect it to. If anything, they will double down on their premise. But others will learn from the exchange. Keep that in mind.

9. When presented with competing doctrines, the one that makes the most SENSE is the preferred one.

10. Proof text ping pong is a waste of time. Don’t bother with it.

11. Occam’s razor: The SIMPLEST explanation that fits the scriptures is usually the correct one.

12. If a passage or scripture is unclear, keep looking, there are others that add to, illuminate and explain it better.

13. If it fits the Jewish pattern, it is probably the correct interpretation

14. Christ is not divided. All scriptures, Old and New Testament fundamentally agree, and all God’s prophets preached Christ, and him crucified.

15. Study the Jewish patterns: The Jewish harvest, the Jewish wedding, the Holy days, the priesthood and the temple give us insight and understanding.

16. Revelation repeats Daniel.

17. Remember: If you “unfriend” everyone that doesn’t agree with your doctrines, you won’t have many friends. Same goes for a church.

18. None of it is worth being right about. Love above all else.

19. King James Only? NKJV? Oh boy. Pft. Another thing that is not worth being right about. A silly, pointless debate. A huge biblical hill of beans.

20. “Majority opinion”, “according to scholars”, “the prevailing school of thought”, “the church fathers” aka “appeal to the majority” and “appeal to tradition” is usually wrong. It has been many times in the past. Study, study, study, decide for yourself.

21. Conditional salvation makes no sense. It amounts to fatalism taught by all false religions. Eternal security makes the most sense.

22. Don’t form or base doctrine on one verse of scripture. Use “The whole counsel of scripture” rule.

23. If yours or their explanation is more complicated than what they are attempting to explain, its not an explanation, its a dissertation.

24. Any and all false doctrines are propped up by “proof texts” and cherry picked scriptures. Most all popular cults and false religions today claim to be biblically based. That’s a fact.

25. A degree in theology or ordination does not make one an expert. It just means he’s learned someone else’s doctrines and passed the associated exam.

25. Yes, one can have an seminary education and still be biblically clueless. Don’t think so?, Just turn on a TV.

26. Modern Bibles: NOTHING was “lost in the translation” the translators knew what they were doing.

27. DON’T use a Scofield Bible side notes, or a “living Bible”. You’ll only end up confused.

Scofield was a man of horrible character, and a plagerist, his goal was to sell books. And both authors were unstudied and unread, niether man had a doctrinal clue.

28. DON’T rely upon one or two teachers for doctrine and understanding, including me. STUDY and confirm.

29. One cannot deny one part of the Bible and accept another. That’s not how it works. Thats not how ANY of it works. All the Bible is true. You don’t get to pick and choose what you think is true.

30. If you don’t understand, Don’t act like you do, keep studying, and ask God for understanding. James 1:5.

31. “A certain rich man” Tells us its a true story. It really happened.

32. Revelation 2:13 tells us John wrote Revelation AFTER 70 AD. Antipas was martyered 92AD at the hands of Domition.

33. All parables, visions and dreams have literal implications in their symbolism.

34. We have a living witness to creation, a young earth and the flood. His name is Jesus, and he confirms both the flood and a 6 day creation in his own words in the Bible. You cannot reconcile evolution with scripture, it’s not possible. One cannot claim to believe something as incredible as a dead man rising from the grave, as recorded in the Bible, and then deny what that same Bible says about creation in six days and Noah’s flood. If he does, he’s a walking hypocrite. Evolutionists will laugh at him. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

35: Pet interpretations cannot trump the plain words of Jesus and the prophets. You cannot use a parable to refute the plain words of Jesus.

36. Finally, the Bible stands on it’s own merits, it’s either ALL TRUE, or none of it is true.

The Book of Life.

The book of life is for innocents , the unborn, and those who have never heard the gospel.

If one hears and rejects the gospel, his name is removed from the book of life.

The two books, the Book of Life, and The Lamb’s Book of Life , and there are others, a book of works also, are to assure everyone, and every deed, good or bad, is recorded and accounted for.

The LAMB’S book is for those who made a conscious, informed decision for Christ. And they cannot be removed.

Rev 20 says “those whose names were not found written in the book of life” means the saints won’t be in that assembly.

Only unbelievers, the unborn, innocents and those that never had a chance to accept Jesus will be at the great white throne judgement.

Rev 20:15 Those who did not have their name written in the book of Life were thrown into the lake of fire.

Christianity and discipleship

From my dear friend Grace:

“Is Christian the same as being a disciple?”

Not at all. The thief on the cross was a Christian, and didn’t do a thing but believe and profess the Lord Jesus as Saviour, and he went to heaven.

Peter was a disciple. He preached, he witnessed, he won souls, he was beaten, persecuted, and eventually was killed for his testimony.

Peter will have a great reward, just one being a ruler over the tribes of Israel in the Kingdom reign.

The thief likely will not have anything other than a white robe and a crown of salvation.

Both were Christians, both went to heaven.

While the Lord would have all of us be his disciple, not all are willing, or able to do so.

One can believe in Jesus Christ as his Saviour and never do anything else and go to heaven.

He probably won’t have a reward, and most likely will have a lot to answer for, while a disciple that follows the Lord in his life, witnessing, teaching, and giving of his increase will receive a reward.

They’ll both stand in the congregation of the righteous. Both justified by FAITH, not works.

Salvation is the irrevocable gift of God. Rewards are a different matter. Eph 2:8-9.

There are many crowns in the Bible. All will receive a crown of salvation. Some a martyers crown. Some a teacher, some a Pastor elders crown, some a crown of righteousness for the personal ministry and supporting the church, and some a crown of witnessing, and for some a crown of suffering for persecution.

I’ve got several crowns under my belt already, but I’m not interested in a crown of suffering, or a martyers crown. Naw. I’ll pass on those. 😂

To close: Salvation is irrevocable, but if you think are not accountable for your behaviour, or that we wont’ give account for any sins on your account at judgement, you need to change churches and be taught again.

Jesus says to pray daily “forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us” this is not about salvation, but accountability, growth, peace, and fellowship as well as a full reward when he appears for us.

Thank you Grace!

Blessings!

The Two Olive Trees, the tribulation preachers.

Copyright 2022 James Dixon

There is a lot of speculation these days about the end times and the tribulation.

I have friends and family who are obsessed with the tribulation and the mark of the beast.

For many, the obsession, and looking for signs is a source of great anxiety and uncertainty, and needless worry for many people.

Fueling the fear is the news media. If you want a daily dose of anxiety, just watch the news for a few minutes.

Next week, they will have a whole new set of things to worry you with.

Don’t fret about what you can do nothing about.

So Turn off the TV, put away the phone, and go fishing.

Many doomsday cults today and in the past have used this fear rooted in a lack of knowledge and understanding of the Bible to recruit many followers.

Many groups have murdered their followers, or committed mass suicide on account of such fears.

Every day, TV Preachers and gloom and doomers make a lot of money selling “speculation media” I call it, and spreading anxiety and fear to sell even more books that don’t really provide the answers the buyers seek, but it keeps them interested, and they buy more to waste time reading. The Bible labels folks like this as “making merchandise of the flock”.

I pray and hope this chapter provides knowledge, wisdom, encouragement, and most of all, PEACE to all that read it.

In talking to unbelievers, I find it odd that almost all of them believe in the coming tribulation and mark of the beast. They all have a fatalistic mindset. Its sad. And they don’t believe in Jesus.

Its almost universal. they dont believe what the Bible says about Jesus, but they sure believe what revelation says about the end of the world.

To their credit, the unbeliever’s view is correct, and if they don’t accept Jesus, they will go through the tribulation.

But for those in Christ Jesus, we have a much brighter, much different future to look forward to.

The Bible says we are not appointed to wrath, we have a “blessed hope”, and a comfort knowing we will not go through the horrible times of the tribulation with an unbelieving world. So look up, be ready.

Some say the Tribulation will last 7 years. Some say 3.5 yrs, and some say we are IN the Tribulation as I write.

Then there are some that even say the Tribulation has already passed, and that we are living in the Kingdom now.

In this chapter, I hope to address each view on the Tribulation, and answer several questions while providing you with sure fire proof that the Tribulation lasts for 7 years, and we will NOT be here for it, it has not already taken place, nor are we in the midst of it.

Let us begin:

For those who believe the Tribulation has already passed, there are several logical dilemmas that come with such a theory:

The first is king David and the Apostles.

Jesus tells the 12 they shall sit on thrones in the regeneration, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.

Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” (Matt. 19:27-28)

Logically this has not happened yet. But since I don’t watch the news, i may have missed it.

The Bible says in Jude 14, 1 Thess 3:13, Malachi 3:16-17, Rev 19:7-9 and several other places that Jesus returns with his saints.

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousand of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him” (Jude 14,15).

That has not happened yet either, so so much for the theory that the Tribulation has passed.

Next is the theory that we are IN the Tribulation period.

The main dilemma with this school of thought lies in Revelation 11, “the two olive trees”.

These are two men who preach on the streets of Jerusalem for 3.5 years during the Tribulation period.

Read Revelation 11.

They are killed at the MIDPOINT of the tribulation, the beginning of “Jacob’s trouble”, then are raised from the dead after 3.5 days and ascend into heaven.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

At this time. Israel will be betrayed and overrun. “Trod underfoot of the Gentiles 42 months”

Some say these “two olive trees” are Elijah and Moses. Some say they are Elijah and Enoch, some say Elijah and John, and still others say it will be Elijah and another, as yet unknown preacher.

Who ever they are does not amount to beans one way or the other, but the most logical would be Elijah and Enoch, since both men are alive and have never died. That makes the most sense anyway. We know for sure ONE of the preachers will be Elijah.

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

As far as I know, such has not happened in Israel, or anywhere else, nor is it going on at the time of this writing.

Another dilemma is another place in the bible, Ez 34:24, 27, the Bible says King David will rule over Israel in the Kingdom.

Ez 34:24 And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it.

EZ 37:24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

In Jeremiah 30:9, God says he will raise up King David, and in another place it even says he will even rebuild David’s home in Jerusalem in the regeneration.

Jer 30:9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their King whom I will raise up unto them.

To date, to my knowledge, this has not happened either. I do not live under a rock, but maybe I missed something.

So , its pretty clear the Tribulation has not began yet.

I am convinced that those that hold to these theories just do not read their Bibles.

For those who believe the Tribulation lasts 3.5 years, Revelation 11 provides us an answer.

If one reads Rev 11 carefully, it says the Temple, logically in jerusalem, will be “trod underfoot of the Gentiles for 42 months”. LOGICALLY, this 42 months, “Jacob’s trouble” will come AFTER the two prophets ministry ends.

Dan 12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time:

Some look for “the third temple” as a sign of the tribulation, but it could be rebuilt many days or years BEFORE the tribulation begins, or it may be rebuilt many days after the tribulation begins.

In Revelation 11, The Bible clearly says the two prophets, the olive trees will preach for 1260 days IN JERUSALEM clothed in sackcloth, THEN they will be killed, rise from the dead 3.5 days later and that Israel will be betrayed, attacked and that Jerusalem will be overrun for 1260 days.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Thats about 7 years folks, give or take a few days.

The ministry of the two prophets will be a revival in Israel and across the world never seen before.

So it’s pretty clear the Tribulation will begin when the two prophets begin to preach in Jerusalem. As far as I know, this has not happened.

Why two prophets? Tha’ts an easy answer: after Rapture, there will not be any CHRISTIANS or Christian preachers, at least for a time, anywhere on earth. This makes sense and fits the scriptures.

Point is, don’t worry, we are not there yet, and will not be here for the tribulation. We will be at a party in heaven, and return to earth no less than 7 years later to judge the world, and rule and reign with Jesus in the kingdom.

Jesus promises to spare us from the hour of trial that is to come on all the world” in Revelation 3:10, and many other places.

1 Tim 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Matt 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

IS 41:14 For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.”

IS 43:1 But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. PhilIipians 4:6-7

John 14:26 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually! 1 Chron 16:11.

More comfort from the Lord:

Revelation 3:10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Malachi 3:16

16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.

18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

1 Cor 6:2 “know ye not that the saints shall judge the world?”

Revelation 1:6 “thou hast made is kings and priests unto God.

Rev 5:9-10 “Thou hast redeemed us by thy blood out of all nations, and peoples, and kindreds and tongues, and hast made us kings and priests unto God, and we shall reign on the earth”.

Matt 5:5 “The meek shall inherit the earth”

1 Thess 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

When will all this happen?

Mt 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Matt 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Matt 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Matthew 24:43, “Understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into,” and 1 Thessalonians 5:2, “You know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.”.

Luke 17:26 Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man: 27 People were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark.

Mark 13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

Be ready: 2 Cor 13:5

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates.

Romans 14:12, So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Tim 5:24 Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

For the faithful and rebellious ones:

Luke 12:42-48, (read verses).

Eph 5:5. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

To stand with confidence at Jesus appearing for us:

1 John 1:8-10,

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

2 john 2:8, Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Mt 22:34-40.

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars of heaven.

“Change what you can, pray about what you can’t, and don’t worry about the rest. Worry will not change one thing.

I will add more to this later.
