Because there is no other way.
There is NOTHING we can do to merit salvation, earn it or KEEP it.
It HAS to be a gift, otherwise no one would see heaven. No one would be righteous enough.
Without Jesus Christ, no one is good enough.
IF there were conditions for salvation, on our best day, we would all eventually fail.
Salvation is not about what you DO, it’s about who you ARE
2 Cor 5:17. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away, behold, all things become new”
Eph 5:30. We are bone of his bones, flesh of his flesh”
Eph 2:8-9. For by grace ye are saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God lest any man boast”
1 Cor 6:20 For ye are bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
From a salvific standpoint,
We cannot impress God with the products and fruits of his own creation. Who gives us the strength and ability to do good?
While good works are a reasonable expectation, and there will be a reward for it, we are helpless to save ourselves, or to keep ourselves saved.
We cannot earn eternal life through our own merits, or give ourselves eternal life through our own efforts. It’s not possible.
The only thing we have that God does not own is our will and our faith.
Your faith in Jesus for eternal life. No strings, no conditions. Why? Because Jesus LOVES you unconditionally. That’s a pretty good deal.
“Well ? What if i lose faith?”
2 Tim 2:13 says if we believe not, He abideth faithful, for he cannot deny himself”.
I Cor 6:20 For you have been bought with a price, therefore glorify God in your body.
A believer cannot unkill the Lamb, or unborn themselves. Salvation is an irreversible transaction. Your faith for Jesus shed blood for your sins.
Thanks be to God, after this, there are no refunds, no reversals, no returns, no exchanges. It’s a done deal my friend.
John 1125 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.
Have you accepted God’s free gift? If not, why not?
If you have,
Rest in God’s mercy, rest in his grace, rest in his love.
