Pre tribulation rapture doctrine is considered “heretical” by many.
Some even go so far s to call it “Satanic”.
What if they are wrong?
Whether you believe in pre trib rapture or not has no bearing on your salvation, but it will have an effect on how you live, and your perspective on the world.
What is “heretical” or “satanic” about living in moment by moment fellowship and accountability to Jesus, looking for hìm to appear at any minute, unnannounced, and behaving and living in such a way so as to not stand ashamed if Jesus appears for us in the next moment?
There is nothing “heretical” about it. But its all the those without understanding can say about it. And there is no truth in them. They speak from ignorance and a lack of understanding.
Pre trib rapture AND the Lord’s return with us is laid out squarely in Malachi 3:16-18 and many other places in the Bible.
16 Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
Jesus reiterates his promise to spare us in Revelation
Rev 3:10 “because ye have kept the word of my patience, I will spare thee from the hour of trial that is to come upon all the inhabutants of the earth”
What is “heretical” about living in moment by moment fellowship and accountability to Jesus, and behaving and living in such a way so as to not stand ashamed if Jesus appears without warning?
For the faithful looking for him:
Jesus tells us to stay ready.
Luke 12 35 Be dressed for service and keep your lamps burning. 36Then you will be like servants waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks, they can open the door for him at once.
37Blessed are those servants whom the master finds on watch when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve and will have them recline at the table, and he himself will come and wait on them. 38Even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night and finds them alert, those servants will be blessed.
If you Don’t , and If he appears at a time when you are not looking, or not prepared to meet Jesus, don’t be this guy:
Luke 12:46 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Mt 24:50 50 The Lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
Jesus coming at the end of the tribulation won’t be a surprise, it will be preceded by many signs, and BOTH the wheat and tares are taken at that time, not “one taken, and one left”.
Mark 13:32: “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.Mt 24:40 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Matthew 24:34 I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.” (a worldwide event, dark on one side, daylight on the other).Luke 21:36 (angels will take BOTH the wicked and the just at the Lord’s return, it is not rapture).
Matt 24:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
“But what about the “Elect”? Why are they not spared? Good question, and the answer speaks to chronology.
The short answer is the ONLY reason ANY believer will go thru the tribulation is simply because the were not believers at rapture. More is explained in my many other posts.
In closing,
My hope is if you DON’T believe in pre tribulation rapture, that you live as if you DO, because if it IS TRUE, I like to think in God’s mercy and grace you are going up, spared from the Tribulation, like it or not.
BUT. I MAY BE WRONG.
My hope is that all will find the peace and joy that comes from understanding and accepting this promise from God to his saints.
Mark 13 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. (His return won’t be a surprise, and I doubt anyone will be asleep)
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
WAS PETER ADDRESSING BELIEVERS TO PREPARE IN HOLINESS & GODLINESS FOR THE DAY OF THE LORD WHICH IS 2ND COMING OR RAPTURE?
2 Peter 3:10-12
10 But THE DAY OF THE LORD (rapture or 2nd coming) will come as a thief in the night; in the which the HEAVENS SHALL PASS AWAY with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be BURNED UP.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all HOLY conversation and GODLINESS,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the COMING OF THE DAY OF THE GOD, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
