David’s future. Where is he going to sit? (273)

I sometimes hear preacher’s say: “When Jesus returns, he will rule the world from the throne of David”.

I always found that statement a little strange simply because it begs the question “If Jesus gets David’s throne, where is David going to sit?”

The Bible clarifies that statement. Jesus is not going to sit on David’s throne. Jesus will have his own throne, and David will too. David will be a prince king, also called a king regent, just like we will.

King David will rule Israel with the twelve apostles. He will have his own throne, just as we will. And he will inherit the same promises we will.

The following verses also tell us David is in heaven.

KIng David has a glorious future ahead. Here are a few bible verses that make mention of his future.

Amos 9:10 All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us. In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.

Jeremiah 30:9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.

Ezekial 34:22-27

22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle.

23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd.

24 And I the Lord will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the Lord have spoken it.

24 And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

25 And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

27 My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

28 And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

Who will rule Israel with King David?

Jesus gives us the answer to that question in Matthew 19:28. And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Here is a list of the other things King David will inherit:

His former tabernacle: Amos 9:10

John 14:

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

We have SO MUCH to look forward too, God Bless!

Those robes: The wedding kittle. (269)

In the Jewish wedding, all guests are required to wear white robes. The Bride wears white also “fine linen, clean and white” but is clearly distinguishable from the guests in her apparel.

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Rev 4:4  And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

Rev 6:10And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Rev 7:9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

7:14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Rev 15:6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen.

Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

Rev 19 1And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: 2For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

7Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

9And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.

Rev 19:14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Note a difference, but not really.

Fine linen”, clean and white is the bride’s apparel. Other saints receive white robes.

When we return to judge the elect, notice no white robes are mentioned. These saints missed the wedding, but they will nonetheless celebrate with a feast, the second feast of the marriage supper. Mt 8:11.

Matthew 8:11 I say to you that many [Gentiles] will come from east and west, and will sit down [to feast at the table, and enjoy God’s promises] with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven

And unlike US the saints in rev 5:9-10, the Elect will not receive a crown, nor any authority to judge. They are mortal kingdom citizens, and repopulate the earth in the regeneration.

Blessings!

Mt 27:52-53. The beginning of the first resurrection. The first fruits harvest. (261)

Jesus rose from the dead on feast of firstfruits. OT saints arose with him shortly after.

That event was prophesied in at least 2 places in the OT.

Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the Lord: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.

2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.

IS 26:19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Matthew 27:52-53

52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

This happened after Jesus resurrection, this company of saints were removed from Abraham’s bosom, see Eph 4:8

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

(Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

1 Pet 3:19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

They are in heaven with Jesus, and are seen as the elders in Rev 4:4. Note they are seated with Crowns. Rev 4:4And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

Our crowning will be in Rev 11:18, the Bema seat judgement. 18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. Also see Rev 5:9-10 “kings and priests” and Rev 1:6. Kings wear crowns.

The next harvest is the dead saints after Calvary, the barley, then it will be our turn.(if alive at the time). First fruits wheat. 1Thess 4:16 “the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air, so shall we ever be with the Lord”

The olives, wheat and gleanings follow in the tribulation. These will most all be tribulation martyers. Our harvest precedes them, we will not be in these companies of saints.

“Therefore comfort one another with these words” 1 Thess 4:18.

Blessings!

The Gospel Of the Kingdom In Matthew. (235)

“The gospel”. Gospel of Christ, Gospel of the cross, Gospel of Calvary, Gospel of Jesus Christ, all the same thing folks. There is a lot more to these “gospels” than just salvation, and It’s all about JESUS.

In your Bible study, reading Matthew and the other gospels, Jesus tells us all about His death, burial and resurrection, salvation, heaven, Godly living, judgement, his second coming and our reward. He marked those teachings with “the Kingdom”. and all of his apostles built upon these teachings. I call it Jesus’s playbook. Read the associated texts in your study.

2 Timothy 2:15: Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Matthew 3And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 4

18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 7

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Matthew 9 35 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

Matthew 10:7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 10:37

32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 11:

27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Matt 12

32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Matthew 13:

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13 24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

Mt 13:31 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

Matt 13:44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:

Matthew 52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

Matthew 16:  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

Matt 17: And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

23 And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry.

 Mt 18

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,

And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants.

Matthew 20: For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death,

19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.

Matthew 21:  Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Mt 22: The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

Mt 25:Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Mt 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

Mt 26:

26 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

29 But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.

31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

32 But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

God Bless!

What will Judgment Day be like? (228)

If Calvinism is true, judgement day is a complete absurdity, and a huge waste of time. Imagine being judged for what you were predetermined to do? Silly religion.

Calvinists don’t talk about judgement day. Or Jesus. Or the rapture. Or much of anything else except Romans 9.

A typical Calvinist rant: “Banannas are yellow because they are yellow, and that’s how God planned it to be,so behold! Yellow bananas!

That is a lot of words used to say absolutely nothing.

But I do want people to have an idea about judgement day, so I have included it in this book.

It seems most of the Christians that I talk to ANYWHERE cannot give you any real description, or a real idea about what Judgment day is going to be like, they just don’t know.

It’s like they don’t have all the puzzle pieces.

I think the root cause of that is they just don’t read their Bible, churches don’t go into the details much, and their teachers don’t read and study their own bibles either, so they aren’t much help.

So, the purpose of this chapter is to see what the Bible says about Judgment Day. At least in my opinion.

My hope is to provide an easy to understand, plain sense explanation that the average pew warming, unread, unstudied believer can easily understand, remember, and use to witness to, and hopefully win others to Jesus. “Common sense Christianity” if you will.

Let me be clear: This doctrine is my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt, or throw it in the trash when you’re finished reading if you want, I make no claim to prophethood, but BE A BEREAN, search the scriptures, study your Bible!

In some of my previous posts I write about many different judgments, and there are several judgments for different groups of believers at different times.

There are two at least 2 judgments for UNbelievers that I will mention.

The first judgement of unbelievers will be those who are alive at Jesus return with us, and THEN, a thousand years later, all the unbelieving dead in hell, including the rich man that spoke to Abraham in Luke 16:22-23. Also called “The second death” judgement.

At this judgement, commonly called “The great white Throne judgement”, all the unbelieving dead will be called up from hell, given an eternal body, and thrown into the lake of fire. Rev 20:12.

WE WON’T BE THERE. If you are a believer today, you will not stand the Great white throne judgement.

A few things in general about judgement day.

Remember: Unbelievers will not be judged with believers. Ps 1:5.

People will lie to God on judgement day: Luke 7:21-22.

Judgement day will NOT be about salvation, but degree of reward, if any, or degree of damnation.

We will have rewards for good works, and our bad works that we carry into judgment will take away from those rewards. 1 Cor 3:15-16.

Imagine a white box on one side of a scale, with all the good deeds in your life kept inside, and a black box on the other side, with your sins and bad deeds inside.

The white box is never emptied. If we continue in good works. It just continues to fill up. Even if we stop, they remain. That’s Gold. Imperishable. Money in the bank.

The Bible says we will give account for the good and the bad. The bad will be weighed against the good to determine rewards, if any at judgement.

We can empty that black box every day through prayer and confession. See 1 John 1:8-10. Our salvation secure in Christ Jesus.

Personally, gaining heaven is plenty enough for me, I’d be satisfied with a broom and a dust pan, and a specially designated corner to keep clean when I get there.

Sadly though, many will carry unconfessed sins into the judgment. I hope not to be one of those believers. I hope to not stand ashamed when Jesus appears for us. I hope to receive a full reward. 1 John 2:28.

For believers, again, they will give account for any sin carried into judgement, and it will take away from rewards, but will not be a “deal breaker” if you will. We are bought with a price, there are no refunds.

I hope we all “shine like the stars”, but for many, its not going to be that way.

Judgement day for many will not be about cotton candy, rainbows and pink unicorns. So spare your brother, warn him!

For those that do well in the faith, the Bible says “some will shine as the Stars” Dan 12: 3.

It also says that some will receive a whipping Luke 12:47-48. Many mistakenly believe that verse speaks of UNbelievers, not so. You cannot punish someone twice for the same crime. They unbeliever is simply bound and cast into the flames, not beaten first.

And for the worst offenders, some “will not inherit the kingdom”, which is ANOTHER widely misunderstood verse.

As I understand it means that those believers, albeut hypocrites, will still rule and reign with Jesus, But wil be given a beating first, then assigned a dominion and rule OUTSIDE the gates of New Jerusalem, on the “earthly side” with the mortals, where there will still be day and night. “Outer darkness” relatively speaking. (more on that in a future post).

Once again, these are believers here, not unbelievers. Judgement day is NOT a salvific issue and Unbelievers will not recieve a rebuke or stripes at judgement, they will simply be bound and cast into the flames.

SO. I want to go down this list, and give you a scripture reference to go along with what I just said. There are many other references as well. Study and see for yourself.

Luke 12:2 says Every Idle Word will be accounted for and all things will be revealed. “For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.”

Psalms 1:5 says that the wicked will not stand in the congregation of the righteous in judgment.

This means salvation is not an issue on Judgment Day. If you are a believer, you are going to heaven. And you cannot change that. THAT is GOOD NEWS!

Ps 1:5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

One illustration is found in Matthew 25:31 through 41. See the sheep and the goats , saved and the unsaved are actually separated before they stand judgment. Their fate was sealed prior to judgement.

Romans 14:10 through 12 says that we will give account for the good and the bad.

Romans 2:6 2nd Corinthians 5:10 1 Peter 1:17 and Revelation 2012 says that we will receive our reward in accordance to our works, so rewards will be proportionate, but not everyone is going to receive the same reward.

Not all believers will receive a reward, some will receive a whipping, a beating as the Bible calls it. Some will have their rewards “inheritance” stripped and given to another, but they will still gain heaven.

Eph 5:5
For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Luke 12:47-48 tells us some will receive Stripes. “Many blows” And some “a few blows”.

Accountable? Oh yes we are my friend.

Some will have their reward stripped and given to another. that’s in Matthew 25:26

Now, again, judgement day will not be a salvific issue, but merely one of the rewards, we are secure in Christ.

But look at THIS: Jesus tells us that if we’re faithful in a few things, he’ll make us ruler over many things, so reward is exponential, we’ll get a lot more then what we are worth. Mt 25:21 . His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

That’s good news!

A FEW things.. look at that. It aint hard folks.

The Bible says if we “abide in him” we can stand with confidence when he appears for us. 1 J 2:28

” abide in him” is not a reference to Salvation, it is a reference to Fellowship, good works, a clear conscience and remaining in prayer.

John 1 John 4:17 says some will stand ashamed.

1 Timothy 5:24 says that some people will carry sins into judgment.

Revelation 4:10 says that we will cast our crowns at Jesus’s feet.

Matthew 25:40 says all good deeds, no matter how minor will be remembered and rewarded.

Hebrews 6:10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

Jesus said “inasmuch as ye did it unto these the least of my brothren, ye did it unto me” in Mt 25:31-41

He’s talking about a glass of water there. He remembers the good, and forgets the bad things IF we confess them. 1 J 1:8-10 Thats a pretty good deal dontcha think?

Continuing on, again, all unconfessed sins at judgement will count against your reward. That is in 1st Corinthians 3:15 and second John 1:8 through 10 and 1 J 2:8. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Again salvation is not the issue on judgement day.

If you read Matthew 25:31-41 you’ll see that sheep and goats are divided before judgement begins (we will JUDGE there).

Jesus knows those that are his before judgement.

Daniel 12:3 says those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars.

Luke 13:28 says that others, the fornicators and hypocrites caught unawares into judgement (by sudden death or the rapture) will weep and gnash their teeth. you’ll also find that in Matthew 13:50.

Matthew 13:42 Matthew 24:51 Luke 8:17 says that everything done in secret, and every idle word will come to light.

1 John 2:28 says that many will stand ashamed, but it also says if we abide in him we can stand with confidence, and receive a full reward. See my post “a full reward” for more.

In closing, what that means my friend is to stay in prayer, stay in good works, stay in fellowship with the Lord , love your neighbor as yourself, and finally love the Lord Jesus with all your heart.

I hope this is a blessing to you!

Satan’s future. (227)

In my previous blog about judgments I overlooked something, I overlooked the devil’s judgment. That’s something we don’t hear much about in church.

Satan will stand as our accuser at the Bema seat in heaven , Rev 11:18. Then he will be cast down to earth shortly thereafter, Rev 12:7, and will AGAIN stand as accuser at the judgement of the nations when we return with Jesus. Mt 25:31-41, Rev 20:1-3.

I believe he will be THE first to be bound, and cast into the flames after accusing the saints, and it comes time to condemn the unbelievers.

If you’ll read in Matthew 25:31 through 41, it says the UNBELIEVERS will be bound and cast into the furnace.

This same judgment is mentioned in Revelation 20:4-6, and it also says in other places that the devil would be bound and cast into the bottomless pit , Rev 20:1-3, SO he will be judged also, and cast into hell with the unbelievers.

IS 14: 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

21 Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

22 For I will rise up against them, saith the Lord of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the Lord.

23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the Lord of hosts.

24 The Lord of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

If you’ll read in Matthew 25:31 through 41 that the UNBELIEVERS will be bound and cast into the furnace, well the same judgment is mentioned in Revelation 20:4-6, and it also says in other places in that the devil would be bound and cast into the bottomless pit , Rev 20:1-3, SO he will be judged also, and cast into hell with the unbelievers.

He will be there for 1000 years and then be released for a “little season”. Rev 20:3. After this, the great White throne judgement begins and he is thrown into the Lake of fire along with everyone else in hell.

Rev:20 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Pure speculation here.

Ohh this is DEEP. “Is this the man?” Seems he will be given a mortal body, as Jesus was, then executed by fire, then raised out of hell and given an eternal body, and cast into the lake of fire.

It appears that the devil will be given an eternal body of a man. Much like Jesus. I dont really understand all of ISaiah 14.

If such happens, it will be in Rev 20:1-3

“Thy grave” implies he dies a physical death and goes to hell.

He would taste mortal death the same as those he decieved and murdered. He would taste the death he caused Jesus. Sounds fair to me.

I bet they don’t talk about that in seminaries

Church folks would think I’m crazy if I was to start talking about such as that they’d look at me like I had my ears screwed on backwards or something, but it makes sense.

That’s the devil’s future folks,

God bless!

Pesach, Shavout and Succoth. (225)

Copyright James Dixon 2023

Pesach, Shavout and Succoth are three harvest periods in Israel. This is also the pattern for 3 harvest periods of the first resurrection.

Pesach began in Matthew 28:2 with Jesus, the firstfruits of the dead. Jesus arose on the first day of feast of firstfruits, which begins on the first Sunday after the Sabbath following Passover. (Saturday after sunset).

Matthew 28:2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. (As you read, take note of the angels role in the harvest)

The Elders: Matthew 27:51-53: And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom, and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; 52 And the graves were open, and many bodies of the saints that slept arose, and came out of their graves after Jesus resurrection, and went into the Holy City (New Jerusalem, Rev 21), and appeared unto many. We see these saints again in Rev 4:4.

1 Thess 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

This is the end of Pesach, the barley, the first harvest period. It ends with a trump, and another harvest period begins.

The next period, Shavout, begins with a trumpet blast.

1 Cor 15:53 For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Shavout means to “take out”, “remove”, or “catch up”.

Trumpets signal the beginning and end of harvests in Israel.

Ruth married Boaz at the end of the Barley harvest. Jesus will come for his bride at this same time.

1 Thess 4:17 begins this harvest period. It begins immediately after the end of the barley in 1 Thess 4:16. Commonly referred to as the pre tribulation rapture.

Rapture takes Saints alive at the moment.

1 Thess 4:17 These are the LIVING saints alive on earth at that time. (Hopefully US). 1 Thess 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.

IF we are alive at this time, we will vanish “in the twinkling of an eye”.

1 Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

When we arrive in heaven, as the honored guest, the bride, the marriage of the Lamb begins. Also see Malachi 3:16-17, 1 Cor 15:52-53, Rev 3:10. Rev 5:9-10, Rev 7:7-9 Rev 19:7.

Saints will follow after us and join the festivities at the wedding, but for a time, there will not be a single believer on the planet after the rapture. (Rev 11:11, Rev 14:16)

The tribulation may not begin immediately, but will begin at some point after the rapture. See Malachi 3:16-17, John 14:1-3, Rev 3:10.

The next harvest is the olives, it will occur at exactly the mid point of the tribulation.

These are the two prophets, “my two olive trees” that come to Israel and preach in the streets of Jerusalem for 3.5 years.

Rev 11:3And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

They are finally killed by the beast mid tribulation, and rise from the dead 3.5 days later, then ascend to heaven.

MY opinion is that their fruit, other martyred saints who believed during the two prophets ministry, and killed for their testimony, will also rise with them, but either way, this is the olive harvest.

There are also other fruits in this period, pomegranites and figs as well, that’s for another study.

Rev 11:7-11 “And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. 8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord was also crucified (Jerusalem). 11 and after three and a half days, the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon them which saw them. 12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying “come up hither,” And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies beheld them.

These “two olive trees” began a worldwide revival, with the beast attempting to stop it. The gospel will spread like wildfire, with the beast killing new converts as quickly as they are found. The martyrs killed after the olive harvest will rise some 3.5 years later near the end of “Jacob’s trouble” in Revelation 14:16.

They will join us at the marriage supper of the Lamb in heaven.

Rev 14:15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap, for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he thrust in his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped (wheat, late tribulation martyers).

This ends Shavout.

Succoth, or Tabernacles, Begins immediately after, with the arrival of Jesus, and the grapes at the war of Armegeddon.

Rev 14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire, and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for her grapes are fully ripe, 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth ,and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of 1600 furlongs (200 miles).

Now the antichrist and his armies have been defeated. Earth is safe for his saints, so Jesus opens the door to heaven and we return with him to judge the earth and begin his kingdom reign. The harvest is almost finished. The wheat and tares , and the gleanings remain.

This is commonly referred to as the Second Coming, or The gathering of the elect, but it’s not just the elect that are gathered.

Matt 13:38 The field is the world: The good seed are the children of the kingdom, but the tares are the children of the wicked one. 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the angels are the reapers. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be at the end of the age. 41-The son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them that do iniquity.

The elect are gathered as well. These are LIVING tribulation converts, the saints that survived the tribulation.

Any martyers killed after Armegeddon are also raised from the dead at this time (Rev 20:4-6).

Matt 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

The sheep are given the kingdom as mortals in Matt 25:34

The goats will be killed in Mt 25:41. There is not a single UNbeliever alive on earth at this time.

The last remaining martyers are glorified and serve as priests unto God in his kingdom (rev 20:4-6). We will be kings and priests unto God in the Kingdom, with king David and the 12 ruling over Israel.

Jesus is here. With his bride. His kingdom has come.

Another feast begins.

Blessings!

IF you miss the rapture: Seven years to live. (216)

IF you miss the rapture:

Many Christian religions do not teach rapture at all, and that’s ok. Believing something doesn’t make it true anymore than NOT believing it makes it untrue.

But what if pre tribulation rapture IS true?

Do you want to be left behind? Will you be? Do you know Jesus?

Paul calls the rapture “our blessed hope” and says to “comfort one another with these words”.

And Jesus himself says he will appear for us, spare us from the hour of trial that is to come on all the people on the earth. (John 14:1-5, Rev 3:10, Malachi 3:16-18)

The Bible says for those left behind, who have heard the gospel and rejected it already, that “they will be sent strong delusion, so that they would believe a lie and be damned”. (2 Thess 2:12).

Take that however you will, but for me it means IF you miss rapture, and you have heard the gospel and rejected it, You won’t get another chance to accept Jesus as your Saviour. Your conscience is seared. God has sent you a strong delusion, you will not be able to believe anything but a lie, and you will most likely die in the tribulation.

If you don’t know him, accept Jesus as your Saviour today, tomorrow may be too late.

IF you miss the rapture.

I am not here to talk you into rapture, or pre trib rapture, or post trib rapture, but the one that makes the most sense, and is the most likely is the pre tribulation rapture.

I have many other writings concerning Pre trib rapture.

My goal here is to assume the pre tribulation rapture is true, and take a hypothetical view from an unbeliever’s position. You decide.

Allow me to make my case.

What if its true? What IF there will be a Pre tribulation rapture?

What if it happens? What are the implications?

This post is predicated on two things you must know: I define “Christian” as a person who believes in Jesus Christ as their Saviour. Whether he be Catholic, or Mormon, or a Yiddish Tibetan monk in Kookamonga, If he loves Jesus, for the raptures’ sake, he is a Christian, and only Christians will be taken in the rapture.

The second predication is that ALL Christians on earth at the time of rapture will be taken, not just the “righteous” ones, by our standards anyway.

Many believers, like Lot, will be considered unworthy by the world’s standards, but Jesus, in his love, mercy and grace will save us in spite of ourselves simply because we believe in him, and as such, we belong to him. And thanks be to God, nothing can change that.

Just as Lot was removed from Sodom, “who vexed his righteous soul with the filthy conversation of the wicked”, so shall it be with many Christians when Jesus appears for his people.

Many will stand ashamed, and many will stand with confidence when Jesus appears for us to take us back to his Father’s house in heaven.

So with this happening, how will it affect the rest of the world? How does Pre tribulation rapture play into end times world events?

One of the best ways to understand what would happen to the world immediately after the rapture is to look at the numbers.

Lets start with the percentage of Christians in the different regions of the world.

According to most internet sources, there are 2.2 billion Christians in the planet, about 25% of the earths population, followed by 1.8 billion Muslims.

These Muslims will still be here after rapture. Think about that. what would happen if islam was left to rule by default?

Its not hard to see.

World wide Jihad will begin.

China is about 2% Christian. The middle east is about 5% Christian. IF their Christian populations were to vanish, they would barely notice anything happened.

There would not be any Christians around, but life would likely continue on as if nothing happened.

But in the West The United States, Brazil and South America, things will be different.

We are from 70-95% Christian in the West.

Now think about what life would be like if 70-95 % of their populations vanished in the twinkling of an eye.

IF the rapture hit the United States during the daytime, and people vanished from their homes and vehicles, just imagine the chaos.

Imagine the fires caused by unattended fireplaces.

Imagine the carnage on the freeways at rush hour traffic?

Imagine the wrecks, the highways all over the country would be clogged with empty vehicles.

Imagine. And there would be nobody to help.

In major cities like New York, nobody would be able to get in or out of the city except on foot. The highways would be blocked with millions of empty cars, semi trucks, wrecks and multi car pile ups the likes no one has ever seen.

IF rapture happens while you sleep, and you are one of those relatively few left behind, at night for instance, about 20% in most neighborhoods, when daylight comes, your life is going to change. A lot. And very quickly.

Most of your Family will be gone.

Your wife? probably. Kids? most definitely. Vanished. Gone. Grand parents? Yes, they will be gone. And you will never see them again.

You’ll find your wife’s wedding ring, her shoes and her clothes. Perhaps her contact lenses, or fake eyelashes.

The baby’s crib?. Empty except for the diaper and a pacifier.

There is no point in calling mom, she isn’t going to answer, she’ll likely be gone too. IF she isn’t, she will have her own problems to deal with. As will everyone else.

For those left behind, policemen, Doctors, paramedics, firefighters, power plant workers, line crews, city utility folks and the like, they will be dealing with the same things you are.

80% of all the workers won’t show up for work today, they’ll be gone. 80% of our military will be gone, as well as most of our leaders and government officials.

For the he 20% left behind, going into work will be the last thing on their minds the day of the rapture.

If there was anyone there to answer, you won’t be able to call anyone to help because the cell towers don’t work.

And there is no electricity. And the water doesn’t work.

You won’t get a hot shower tonight, or a hot meal any time soon.

So you walk across the street to the widows house and knock on the door. The dog barks. No answer. But she’s fine. She’s just not there.

Same thing at the next house, and the next. Their cars are there, but nobody is home. Panic begins to set in.

You look around. You see smoke billows from fires in abandoned homes and from businesses and vehicle crashes everywhere.

But where are the Police? Where are the fire trucks? Where is the sound of sirens? The flashing lights? The eerie silence is deafening.

80 percent of your Facebook friends. Gone. But you won’t know it. You can’t log on.

Forget messenger, your phone won’t have any signal.

The contacts on your phone? 80%. GONE.

Then you’ll notice the lights are out. No power anywhere. With 80% of power plant employees GONE, most Power plants will automatically shut down.

All nuclear power plants across the nation, with no one at the controls, would automatically “scram”, and shut down. With no offsite power available, and no one there to refuel the emergency generators, they will melt down in a matter of days. Enter Chernobyl, and radiation poison.

Power will go out nationwide.

Good luck charging that cell phone.

Land line phones? Forget that, they won’t be working either. Internet? Nope. No power, no internet.

IF you miss the rapture, you won’t be able to contact anyone beyond the sound of your own voice.

IF it happens in winter, you best start gathering wood for a fire, because the lights won’t be coming back on any time soon.

If its summer time, good luck staying cool, and finding water.

So you jump in your car to go looking for someone, ANYONE who can tell you what in the world has happened. None of them know either. The radio is silent.

As you drive into town, Cars, wrecks and carnage litter the highways. Injured people, bloody and staggering, attempt to flag you down, begging you to send for help. You dodge people standing in the road.

You see mothers and fathers in the neighborhoods frantically running house to house, looking, and walking around their yards screaming and crying for their missing children.

Think Zombie apocalypse. The world has gone mad.

You pull up at the convenience store. No one is there. The clerks are gone.

And the gas pumps won’t work. Now what?

You look across the road. There is a crowd of people at WalMart. Maybe they know what is going on.

The parking lot is full, but 80% of the drivers will never return to their vehicles.

WalMart employees, GONE.

Nobody can ring you up, because 80% of the workers are gone, and the rest did not show up for work. They are dealing with the same horrors you are.

You are on your own.

If you dare to walk over there, you won’t be able to buy anything, and you will have to fight a crowd to steal anything off the shelves.

The police? NOWHERE to be seen.

IF you could, it would be pointless to call them, there won’t be anyone there. 80% of them didn’t show up for work either. and the remaining 20% are dealing with the same troubles you are.

For on duty officers, they will be overwhelmed. No one will be able to come to your assistance.

The last thing on their minds, or anyone’s mind will be coming to work.

So you think that’s bad? Hold my drink. I’m just getting started.

911? There won’t be anyone there to answer. Doctors? Nurses? 80% gone. Police? most all gone. Paramedics? 80% gone. Prison guards? Most all gone. Drug stores? closed. You won’t be able to get any medicine, or see a doctor going forward.

You won’t even get the mail anymore. and the trash truck won’t be picking up the trash on Tuesday morning.

Most of the criminals are still in the jails, but nobody is there to watch them. Of the 20% of the jailers and guards left, most of them will be at home, just like you, with their own survival to worry about, and just like you, their lives will be in total chaos.

For the criminals, They will be coming to a neighborhood near you soon. Rapists, thieves and murderers. Better dust off that pistol, you are going to need it.

Hold on, it gets Worse. A LOT worse. Chaos is coming.

Think about the farmers.

I don’t believe I have ever met a farmer that did not love the Lord, but at least 80% of them will be gone. Their tractors will be idle. Their crops will go to waste. And 80% of next years food will never be planted.

And there won’t be anyone to pick it, process it, and transport it anyway. 80% of the United States food supply will not be on the shelves in the coming months.

Famine is coming.

The Production and supply chain to our nations grocery stores will be broken. 80% of our truck drivers won’t be here to move it.

Food prices will sky rocket. Stores will empty of food and shut down because of panic buying and no electricity.

But you are broke, the banks are closed, and the ATM’s don’t work.

With no electricity, and no way to keep frozen foods, the only thing most folks will have to eat will be whatever they have in their cupboard, or what they can kill, or scavenge from fields, gardens and abandoned empty houses in the neighborhood.

Good luck pilgrim.

You go back home. No TV. No heat. No water. No air. No internet. No family. No food.

You are going to be as grief stricken, terrified, alone, isolated, and as lonely as you have ever been in your life. And you have, at the most, seven years to live. IF you miss the rapture.

Ironically, Those 80% that left you will be at a party in heaven. rejoicing. And they will live forever.

You won’t be on their mind. And they won’t miss you. And, at the most, you have seven years to live.

Meanwhile, in China and the Muslim world, they barely noticed anything happened, and since the Western world just went dark, it will be a while before they have any idea anything happened.

But the world balance of power just changed.

China is now the world’d dominant superpower, and Islam just became the world’s dominant religion.

What does that mean for you? it means Communism. It means Islam. It means forced conversion. It means death.

It means in the next seven years, IF you survive that long, you will see horrors you cannot imagine.

You will see your nation’s language change. Your property confiscated. your guns? Confiscated. Your money? confiscated.

You will own nothing and be happy.

You will see wars, plagues, famine and pestilences. Signs in the heavens, meteor strikes, nuckear wars, exreme hurricanes, drought, torrential rains, persecution and poverty.

You will have no rights. You will be a subject of the New World Order. A citizen slave.

Just do as you are told. Or suffer the consequences. IF you miss the rapture.

Part 2 coming soon.

A study of a Jewish wedding. (183)

Nails Ferry Road Baptist church Sunday School 5/01/2022

To understand the Bible in the context of a courtship, betrothal and wedding, and to look at it through such a lens, is one key to opening our understanding of the scriptures.

My hope here is to provide you with an outline, and Just a few supporting scriptures to give you the idea, and do your own study. I pray you find many more to enrich your understanding.

Researching this, and reading the relevant scriptures in the process makes me teary eyed. What a comfort. “therefore, comfort one another with these words”.

The Bible truly is the greatest love story ever told. Our Lord Jesus LOVES us!

The Jewish wedding is actually rooted in GENTILE customs, going back to Rebecca and Isaac, who were Gentiles, as well as Jacob and his two wives. Boaz and Ruth also gives us some insight. Would you believe Abraham’s tent is a picture of the Brides home, New Jerusalem,? That is a subject for another study. Let us begin.

The initial offer:

The groom and the best man introduce themselves: “I am the Bride groom”, and “I am a friend of the Bridegroom” John 3:29, Luke 5:33,35, Mark 2:18-20, Mt 9:14, Eph 5:25-27, Rev 19:7, Rev 21:2, Rev 21:7-9.

Other supporting scriptures: Isaiah 61:10, Mt 25:1-12, Joel 2:16, Ps 19:4-5, IS 62:5, Jer 33:11, Rev 18:23.

It is no coincidence That John and Jesus are speaking in the context of a Jewish wedding. They are telling us something. They are giving us a blueprint, a pattern. They are using simple, everyday things to explain the complex.

To the common people, it was easy to understand. To the Pharisees, these were “mysteries”.

I cannot tell you what a blessing such understanding is, but I can share.

My hope is you will find out for yourself. I provide a few scriptures, but the Bible is literally saturated with bridal analogies, I hope you find many other scriptures to enrich your understanding.

The proposal: “You did not choose me, I chose thee” John 15:16, Gen 24:58 {The Bride’s right of refusal}.

Jewish marriage was never compulsory. The bride could always ultimately refuse, but at the same time, she couldn’t go out and just ask a man to marry her, at least under normal circumstances she couldn’t. The potential groom had to make the first move. “I chose thee”.

So now she knows the man’s intentions.

She may say ” Assuming I may be interested, which I don’t know if I am or not…, (typical hard to get response, lol!) How about you go see my daddy first, he may not even allow you to ask me out,, talk to him, then perhaps we can talk.”

The groom’s choice had to be approved also, so logically he has already talked to his father about his prospective bride. Often his prospective bride was a childhood friend, or distant family memer.as were isaac and Rebecca, so they are not strangers to one another.

Supporting scriptures: I Cor 11:29, John 4:`13-14, John 3:16, John 11:25:27, Hosea 2:19, 2Cor 10-11:16.

The Bride price: The father required blood, and the groom balks, but finally agrees, he loves her that much. Mt 26:39.

IF the prospective bride agrees, she is considered “bought with a price”.

Once she accepts the dowry, she has made an irreversible decision. When the dowry is paid, she is bound to her husband for as long as he lives. She has no rights to divorce. Only the groom. She is considered “Bought with a price”. Dt 24:1.

What?! you say. Hold on: “Bought with a price” did not put the Bride at a disadvantage. Quite the contrary actually.

She was not property or chattel. The Bride Price actually put the groom in a potentially precarious financial situation much more so than the bride, so he’d best be sure of his decision.

The dowry:

The Dowry was usually an exhorbitent sum of money, or land, and most often everything the groom has. His decision better be a good one. If he loses her, he loses everything.

The dowry was an insurance policy of sorts for the bride and her family. IF her groom died, abandoned or divorced her, he forfeited the dowry, By making divorce only the grooms option, this also made divorce less likely. The financial implications of the dowry made divorce much more difficult, and provided her a means of support, and made her more attractive to another potential groom if her husband left her.

SO, The dowry has been proposed, Now it is up to the Bride. Usually a brief courtship follows, the couple get to know one another through family gatherings and the like. They are not permitted to be alone for an extended period of time until the official betrothal, which is much more informal than one would imagine.

The betrothal:

At an appropriate time, at a party or reception, to signal her acceptance of the dowry, the bride shares a cup of wine, or receives a cup of wine from her groom that he poured, and or shares food with him. This is undeniable proof before many witnesses that the couple has agreed to marry. The bride has officially accepted the dowry, and has sold any rights to refusal going forward.

IF she refuses the cup, the party continues, and the couple part as mere friends, the groom keeps the dowry, and no one will question either side about what they have seen.

Nuisin:

After a brief courtship, the groom now has to turn his attention to the future, and making a home for himself and his bride. Legally speaking, she is his wife. Only a formal divorce , with legal proceedings can annul the marriage. Mt 1:19.

Within the next year or so, he must build a home for himself and his bride. This dwelling was most often an addition onto his fathers home.

His father oversees its construction. When he is satisfied that it will make a fit home for the bride, He allows his Son to return for his bride.

Prior to his departure, The bride and the groom are both baptised, meaning they are officially consecrated to one another. Then the groom makes an official announcement: “I go to prepare a place for you, that where I am, there ye may be also”, and returns to his fathers house to begin building their future. John 14:2, Eph 5:31, 1 Cor 2:9, 1Cor 11:2, Rev 19:7, Rev 20:7-9, Rev 22:7.

It will be many days before they see one another again. Think “absence makes the heart grow fonder”. They bride does not know when he will return for her, but as the days pass, her excitement grows. He may come for her in the dead of night, so she keeps oil in her lamp, and her wedding garments clean and ready to go.

When will her groom come for her? Mt 24:44, Luke 12:40, Mt 24:36, Mk 13:32, Mt 24:37.

The groom has finished the bridal chamber. His father examines it, approves it, and tells his son, “Go fetch your bride son”. The groom assembles his friends, the wedding party, and they proceed to the bride’s house, usually very late at night to suprise her., with music and singing as they go.

When they get within hearing distance of her home, a shofar is blown, a trumpet, this wakes the bride and her attendants, and alerts the townsfolk that a wedding is taking place. When the assembly reaches the bride’s home, outside the doors, a collective shout alerts the bride that it is time to go. She grabs her things and meets her groom outside, and they return to the grooms fathers house for the wedding. The bride’s family then begins making preparations for ANOTHER wedding feast at her house a week later. The wedding was unannounced, so it will last for a week to allow friends and family to make arrangements to attend this festive occcasion.

1 Thess 4:13-16, Mal 3:16-17, Mt 25:6, Mt 25:12, Mt 24:40, Luke 17:34, 1 Cor 15:5`, Col 3:4, 1 John 3:2.

When the groom arrives at his father”s house, the elders are present, they have been called to witness the reading of the Ketubah, a premarital list of promises from the groom to his bride. This story resumes in part two, coming soon.

Here is a hint. In Revelation. “to him that overcometh” Is the Ketubah.

Blessings!
